Tonight the power company had a power surge that caused a fire in a house nearby and had to turn off power to several buildings, including one I am superintendent of. I interacted with getting an electrician to get the thing safety checked. So we're in a house that has offices in it checking the outlets, and another guy walks right into the house (the house ordinarily is empty at 10:00 pm on a Friday night). He already knew me, because I'm friends with his co-worker. He works for the computer company in town which does work for the landlord that I work for and apparently they also work for the tenant that rents that house. So he had a key to the building, and they have an important computer server for their business in cities throughout New York State, he had to get that thing back on line. I was surprised how thorough the electrician was, but I know practically nothing about his job, I suppose he may have just been doing what was standard.

After Cat'r got here around 6:15pm, I ate while he played with his Eee computer in the bedroom.

I got sidetracked from my meal by coming in here on my main computer and playing Wordscraper on Facebook with Cat'r, who was still in the bedroom, playing on his Eee.

The guys eventually went to Fresh Market, before it closed!

After they got back, we played Gipsy King (Bunnicula won) and Cosmic Wimpout (Cat'r won).

Cat'r is fixing a late meal now; then I will cook and process little meals for myself after he is finished.

The guy (different than the one who used to) that gives me a ride home from concert band rehearsal is getting back into playing his guitar and banjo. I mentioned to him that the bagel joint here is starting to have an open mic night. So anyway we're planning to perform at this open mic night together some time. I haven't played the guitar much in several years. It will be interesting I think. I've pretty much always just played by myself. I tried out my guitar last night, I still remember how to play. My calouses are completely gone though. I also play harmonica a bit. We're thinking the Eagles, there are couple Tom Petty songs that might work, I'm thinking there must be a couple Beatles songs that we could do.

You know, I don't normally talk about politics on my journal.. but honestly, I have nothing against McCain, absolutely nothing. Despite the fact that I personally think he repeats himself.. the same can be said of most all canidates. What I -don't- like is his running mate.

What I also don't like is that there are a whole legion of extremist Domionists who are 'praying' for John McCain's demise so that Palin will become President. That is very creepy and conversely very scary.. and I fear Palin because if she gets in, she is going to throw Women's Rights back into the stone age, or rather into the era when most abortions were unsafely conducted with coat hangers.

Alot of people are like "But she's just the running mate, she is not going up for President.. so your fears are unfounded.. you aren't voting for her, you're voting for McCain."

But see.. you are. If anything happens to McCain then Palin will be thrust into that position, you have to take in consideration alot of different factors.

Alright, that's all I really wanted to say. I'm taking the position of agreeing to disagree, and politics have the same sort of effect that religion does on me. I state my opinion and then I move on. Not that I don't care about everyone else's opinion, I just am not likely going to be budged in my own thinking.

Supernatural creatures have always hidden in the shadows to avoid detection from the far more numerous humans. Most of the creatures have moved around to avoid detection and, thus, haven't been able to live anything resembling a normal life. An individual in the the small town of Arton Bay, Oregon noticed this fact. Arton Bay was the home to The Club, a spacious 3-story building that had essentially gone to waste. The Club had closed in 1960, but in 1971 a wealthy individual purchased it and reopened with the supernatural in mind. Since then, The Club has been an unspoken haven for any supernatural creatures wanting a retreat from the questioning of the outside world. Still going strong in 2008, The Club allows and caters to any creature willing not to maim others on club property. Arton Bay, as a whole, also seems to be going strong despite the influx of supernatural creatures. Aside from the occasional question what an "Extra" Bloody Mary is, the locals ignore the quirks of The Club and passing tourists don't seem to suspect a thing. the_club via the_owner is a supernatural game taking place in the fictional Arton Bay, Oregon. We're now looking to cast a strong central group of players for a fun game. In other news... George is on Azithromycin for a persistant nose/throat/chest infection. So no dairy for him 2 hours before and 6 hours after taking his daily pill.

I'm still trying to get back on the "work" horse; my body seems to be recovered but my mind is lagging behind.

In Florida, Woman Knocked Unconscious by Dolphin. Now, which God/dess is the dolphin sacred to again...? Ah, yes, Apollo. Either (a) the woman in question is being called to His worship, or (b) she's done something to piss Him off. ;-)
